EVENT BACKGROUND

INDONESIA IFR FLIGHT SKILLS CHALLANGE

-- NO GPS NO FMC -- come to test your REAL IFR SKILLS!  WICC-WIII FLIGHT With Instrument Flight Rules low and slow Aircraft - En-route instructions will be given by ATC - you will have just the right amount of time to prepare your maneuvers (expected 5 Minutes time), all pilots will be provided a judgment notes and will be discussed during a class session before the event.

EVENT BRIEF DESCRIPTION AND PROCEDURES
Fly from WICC to WIII and ***be ready to perform various exercises around published NAVAIDS.

Event Title: "IVAO-ID : IFR Challenge"
Event Date: Friday, 29 May of 2020
Event Time: 1200z ― 1500z
Airport Location: Husein Sastranegara Airport (WICC/BDO) and Soekarno-Hatta Airport (WIII/CGK)
Type of Event: IFR flying challenge skill event
Aircraft Category : Light / Medium Aircraft Propeller within approach categories A and B is recommended.

―ALL PILOTS Notes :

1. Aircraft:
   1. Aircraft with ICAO Approach Categories A and B is recommended.
   2. Aircraft with ICAO Approach Cat C aircraft acceptable
   3. Aircraft with ICAO Cat D & E aircraft not acceptable.
   4. Aircraft with ICAO Approach Cat H (helicopters) will be treated as Cat A/B aircraft.
2. Use of FMC/GPS at pilot’s own risk!
3. TWO CHANCES PER EXERCISE (EXCEPT FOR SID)
4. All pilots are kindly requested to:
   1. Be prepared - have charts on board
   2. Note the SID / STAR altitude and speed restrictions
   3. Maintain radio etiquette.
   4. Be ready to intercept given tracks from/to NAVAID, perform holding with appropriate holding entry.
5. Flight Plan:
   1. DEPART: WICC, DESTINATION: WIII
   2. ROUTE: PW WIHH (cat A & B), CA WIHH (cat C)
   3. En-route time: 0130
   4. Cruising speed: As Applicable
   5. Cruising level: As Applicable
6. NOTES:
   1. Pilots may expect to be given IFR exercises based on the following NAVAIDS PW IMU DKI AL HLM
   2. Pilots have 2 chances for each exercise except for Departures/SID
7. Pilots are expected to promptly conduct exercise after ATC instructions

WICC_TWR/APP, WIII_APP, WIIF_L_CTR. WIHH_TWR not bookable during event.
