FLYING RATS FESTIVAL

EVENT BACKGROUND

Indonesia, with its diversity and tolerance, will soon celebrate the Chinese New Year on January 25, so IVAO Indonesia will also celebrate this "Imlek Day" by holding a "Flying Rats Festival" city-pair overload ATC battle event at the same time as ID-Friday Online Day on January 24, 2020.

EVENT BRIEF DESCRIPTION
Fly 2 legs between Sultan Thaha (DJB/WIJJ) and Depati Amir (PGK/WIKK) to join the “Imlek Day” celebration in our "Flying Rats Festival” city-pair overload event. Bring your jets, bizjets, turboprops even pistons and enjoy the controlled provided by ATC services covering the airspace for this dual-city overload event. In particular, Jambi and Pangkal Pinang ATC as they battle out on who can provide the best service.

EVENT PROCEDURES

Pilots are requested to fly 2 legs between Sultan Thaha (DJB/WIJJ) and Depati Amir (PGK/WIKK) in this event. If you want to fly 1 leg in any directions between the 2 airports, combined with any inbound/outbound legs from any of the 2 airports, feel free to do so (but watch out for the different event award points).
ALL PILOTS ARE KINDLY REQUESTED TO
   > Make sure you have a VALID SID and STAR.
   > Be prepared - have access to charts.
   > Note the SID altitude restrictions and STAR speed restrictions.
   > Be ready - you may be asked to enter holdings, fly headings and speeds.
   > Remember: Aviate, Navigate, Communicate.
   > Maintain radio etiquette. Please wait for at least 5 seconds when entering a new radio frequency before making your contact.
