State Visit | IDSO 2025

Mission Objective: To safely and efficiently transport the Minister of Defense, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs on a multinational state visit, facilitating diplomatic engagements and strengthening international relations.

Operational Scope: A 16-leg, multi-continental journey encompassing Southeast Asia, East Asia, North America, South America, Africa, Europe, and the Middle East, concluding back in Southeast Asia.

As the Commanding Officer of 17th VIP Squadron of the Indonesian Air Force, my responsibilities extend beyond safeguarding Indonesia's airspace. We are also tasked with ensuring the readiness of the presidential aircraft for every state mission. Our squadron, based at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta, is at the forefront of flying and maintaining the VVIP aircraft that carry the President and high-ranking state officials.

This morning, the atmosphere in the hangar is different. A special order has arrived from the Air Force Headquarters. A long and crucial mission awaits. I, Lieutenant Colonel Pnb , am assigned to lead the presidential aircraft on a series of state visits that will take the President, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Foreign Affairs to various parts of the world.

This mission is not just a routine flight. It is a symbol of Indonesia's presence on the global stage, a diplomatic journey that requires precision, readiness, and high-level professionalism. My entire crew and I from 17th VIP Squadron are prepared to carry out this duty with full dedication, ensuring every leg of the flight is smooth and safe.

From Halim Perdanakusuma, we will begin this long journey, crossing continents and oceans, carrying an important mission for the nation.
